Vertical roller mill and Raymond mill both are popular powder grinding equipment in powder making industry, however there are big differences between them. Now I will introduce you the differences between Raymond mill and vertical roller mill.
Vertical roller mill is a large scale stone powder grinding equipment, mainly applied in industries of cement, metallurgy, chemicals etc, which has combined a series of advantages such as crushing, drying, grinding and classifying transportation. It grinds raw materials into powder particles with fineness controllable between 80 to 6000 mesh. While Raymond mill is used to grind materials with 9.3 Moh’s hardness and under 6% moisture, which mainly used in small-medium size mining industries, metallurgy, chemicals and construction with final powder 60 to 325 mesh.
There is difference between them in working principle. Vertical roller mill rotates at a high speed driven by reducer, the raw materials above grinding plates will enter into grinding roller and plate. While Raymond mill is rotated by reducer driving star rack attached at the principle axis. The raw materials is ground between grinding roller and rings by centrifugal force.
